Hamburger Hunt delivers 24/7 drive-thru funk in a 30 mile radius, as long as my mother doesn’t need the car.
A fun-loving Philadelphia quintet with open minds towards old-school funk, progressive rock and a touch of jazz, Hamburger Hunt have quickly spread their infectious live sound across the region. Since their establishment in early 2010, they have grown into a band to watch on the Philly jam scene, sharing the stage with acclaimed national & international acts like The New Mastersounds, The Heavy Pets, Soul Rebels Brass Band, Psychedelphia, Orgone, Swift Technique, The Folkadelics, Brass Heaven, and many others. The band has played to enthusiastic Philly crowds at The Blockley, The Hard Rock Cafe, Triumph Brewing Company, and many others. The Hunt has also journeyed to Sullivan Hall in New York City, Jon and Peter’s in New Hope, The Saint in Asbury Park and several festivals across the region. As 2011 ended, Hamburger Hunt bid a fond farewell to founding guitarist Rich Matteo, who left to focus on personal interests. Here in 2012, they welcome David Barsky, a veteran of the Philly music scene, as the new guitarist. With Dave in the mix, the band will record their first EP and continue to expand their Hunt across the Northeast.
